Attended my first VRTECH event hosted by Vanessa de Souza Lage and loved the format. Round table discussion with a few start-up elevator pitches sprinkled in. The one-hour time frame is just long enough to be substantive while not hijacking your entire day. Definitely worth joining if you have not already.” – Matthew Loney, Xplorie

Following the overwhelmingly positive feedback we received on our last event, VRTECH Connect is back.

On Thursday, 8 April at 6:00 pm CEST we will gather vacation rental professionals from all over the world for an hour and fifteen minutes of networking, knowledge sharing and laughs!

This is an exclusive event and spaces are limited to 100 so your application is subject to approval by the VRTECH Team.

Agenda

We’ve listened to your feedback on the last event and decided to make this edition of VRTECH Connect 15 minutes longer.

This way, we’ll have more time to chat in the breakout rooms and share our unique experiences with each other.

Here’s the new agenda:

18:00 – 18:05  Introduction

18:05 – 18:20  Startup pitches

18:20 – 18:25  Transition to breakout rooms

18:25 – 19:00  Breakout rooms

19:00 – 19:10  Job fair

19:10 – 19:15  Closing

Startup pitches

Love it, I want to have another VRTECH event soon, it’s great to find out new technologies that can help our business grow.” – Christos Pikoulas, Mykonos Luxury

We love promoting startups and want people to hear about all the new and exciting tech products out there. After a fab round of pitches from Demand IQ, StayFi and HausMart in our previous event, we realised 3 minutes was not enough time and people wanted to know more.

So this time each startup will be given 5 minutes to pitch their projects to the audience. The three startups that we have chosen to present at VRTECH Connect are Pinio, Rented and GuestView Guide.

About the three tech startups presenting:

Pinio is a smart access solution developed by Polish engineers that delivers significant time and money savings for short-term rental property owners and managers. With Pinio, you can forget about delivering keys, remotely control access to your properties, automate communication with your guests and improve their experience.

Rented is a team of dedicated vacation rental professionals with over fifty years of combined experience. They provide technology, tools, and services to help vacation rental pros optimise their portfolio of properties.

GuestView Guide provides vacation rentals management companies with informative digital guidebooks to replace paper pamphlets that are often out of date. With their digital concierge platform, GuestView Guide allows property managers to provide guests with an easy-to-use interactive guide that can be updated whenever new restaurants or attractions come into town.

Breakout rooms

I look forward to future events! Thank you! It was a great way to move the industry forward in these pandemic times.” – Philip Lavoie, Preferred Properties Key West

Our breakout rooms were a hit last time because they provided an intimate atmosphere where attendees could contribute to topics, ask questions and share their thoughts and ideas. In fact, everyone wanted more time! So this time, we have extended the breakout rooms from 20 to 35 minutes.

When you sign up for the event, you will have the option to choose a breakout room. At VRTECH Connect, we want to encourage honest conversation, so our number one rule is “What happens in the breakout room stays in the breakout room.” Self-promotion is not allowed. After all, this event is about inspiring, educating and uniting the vacation rental industry.

The breakout room discussions will be moderated by vacation rental experts and VRTECH team members, including Sascha Hausman (Howzat Ennea Group), Doug Truitt (Rentals United) and more to be confirmed.

Breakout room topics:

  1. Revenue Management: the metrics for 2021
  2. M&A opportunities in Property Management & Tech
  3. Streamlining operations: the newest tech trends
  4. Vacation Rental Marketing Mix 2.0

Job fair

“Great effort to make this kind of event happen all the time! Very much appreciated.” – Andrei Antonio Comper, Fridays S.C.P.

Following the breakout room discussions, we’ll close the 1.15-hour session with a job fair.

We understand that right now, finding a job is more difficult than ever, and we want to support both job seekers and employers in the vacation rental community.

Those who are recruiting will be allowed to pitch their open positions and those who are seeking jobs will also have time to introduce themselves. On the sign-up page, you’ll be asked if you’d like to talk about yourself at the end of the event.

Make sure you don’t miss the event. Join us at the second VRTECH Connect on 8th April 2021 at 6:00 – 7:15 pm CEST.

The event is limited to 100 attendees and it’s filling up fast – sign up now to grab a spot.
